COBRE Investigator Dr. Chris Mores leads a new NIH program grant

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded to researchers of the Louisiana State University (LSU), Tulane University and the University of New Mexico a $3 million grant over five years to understand the emergence/re-emergence of dengue fever and similar mosquito-borne diseases and to evaluate the effectiveness of intervention strategies on stopping them. The program grant is led by Dr. Christopher Mores, associate professor in the Department of Pathobiological Sciences, LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and a member of the LSU-Tulane Center for Experimental Infectious Disease Research (CEIDR) funded by NIH:NCRR Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) mechanism..
